FAQ's

What payment methods do you accept?

At Shikany Ink we are pleased to accept all payment methods and major credit cards. (Cash, Etransfer, Visa/Debit, Mastercard..etc)

Are the procedures painful?

At our clinic we use multiple numbing agents to ensure our clients are comfortable throughout the entire procedure. There may be parts of the procedure that can be uncomfortable at most but overall the procedures are all very tolerable, most clients actually fall asleep!

Will I need a touch up? If so, how often?

Touch ups are not mandatory however they are highly recommended for longer lasting results. Clients are welcome to book a touch up once the 6 week healing period is complete. Every client heals and retains the ink differently therefore, it is difficult to predict how often one may need a touch up.

How long does the permanent makeup last?

The lifespan of your permanent makeup is dependent on a number of factors including client skin type, lifestyle, and how well the client is following aftercare. However, with our technique, work will typically last approximately 1-3 year or longer if the client is coming for touch ups.

Do I get a say in the shape/color?

Absolutely! At Shikany Ink we work diligently with our clients and ALWAYS ask for their feedback. Clients will be able to see and dictate the shape/thickness of their brows or lips before we begin the procedure. We will never begin a procedure unless the client is 100% satisfied with our pre-draw. Color choice will also be discussed and we will always go with the client preference.

Do you provide consultations?

Yes we do! You can schedule a complimentary in-person or over the phone consultation free of charge! During your consultation, we will be happy to answer any questions you have and discuss which procedures will be right for you! We also consult with every client in person before their procedure.

Can you correct previous work?

Yes we can! If you have any previous work we always recommend sending us a photo so that we may assess and discuss possibilities. In some cases, unfortunately, a cover up may not be an option and you may be required to remove previous work before booking an appointment.

Is there any downtime?

Brows and lips take approximately two weeks to heal; during this time there will be scabbing and periods where the brows or lips may look dry and flaky. This is completely normal however we advise clients to book at least two weeks prior to any major events or holidays.

Are touch ups included in the initial price?

No they are not. Please see our price list for all touch up costs.
